All sorts of Trout...

The weather is still making the fishing a little tricky with gale force winds and coloured water to contend with but Sam and I have still been out wetting a line or two. We've been focusing our efforts on the trout again over the past week or two and not just browns either, Sam has also been catching a few small Sea Trout too and even his first ever Rainbow Trout on the fly.

Easter Trout...

It may not feel like spring has arrived just yet but our trout season is well under way nonetheless and undeterred by the unseasonably cold weather, Sam and I were back out on the river this Easter weekend trying to tempt a few more trout with an array of hard and soft lures. In a couple of short sessions over the long weekend we each caught a few trout, nothing too spectacular in terms of numbers but they were decent sized fish (1-2lb) all the same.
