Another quick trip to the harbour...

I managed to get back out to Dun Laoghaire harbour again yesterday for a short session and to have another crack at the wrasse which had eluded me last week.

I rigged up with a drop shot rig, stuck on a Gulp Sandworm and began to make my way along the harbour twitching the lure along the harbour wall. It didn't take long before the little wrasse started nipping at the lure, I dropped a few fish until at last I hooked one. I was expecting a little Corkwing Wrasse but it turned out to be a little Ballan Wrasse.

I continued fishing for the wrasse for another while but without any more success so I decided to try the outside of the harbour for pollock. I was hoping that I might find some better fish out there. However even though I was catching plenty of pollock they were all on small side.
